LL Cool J guest in Ellen's Orlando show

When Ellen DeGeneres brings her daytime talk show to Universal Orlando, she will have some big stars to entertain fans.
Two shows will tape at noon and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3.

The first will feature LL Cool J of “NCIS: Los Angeles” and a performance by Duran Duran. The show will air Tuesday. (The program can be seen locally at 3 p.m. weekdays on WESH-Channel 2.)

The underappreciated excellence of LL Cool J

"NCIS:LA" is unimaginative, simplistic and violent -- but the talented rapper makes it worth watching

All of which makes LL Cool J's work on "NCIS: Los Angeles" (Tuesdays 9 p.m./8 Central) seem borderline miraculous. This two-season-old spinoff of CBS' "NCIS" is another comfort food show, a weekly crime series about Navy investigators putting away serial killers, nabbing terrorists and solving crimes that involve corrupt or renegade government employees. J's character, senior agent Sam Hanna, has as complicated, even tortured a back story as any of the "CSI" frontmen -- but he wears it more lightly. Although the show has gone somewhat light on details, we know Hanna grew up in a tough Brooklyn, N.Y., neighborhood, is at ease around what an old-time TV cop would call "the criminal element," and has plenty of experience as a combat veteran and undercover operative. (He served in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq, among other places.)

MSPCA Cares for Chihuahua Puppies Born without Front Legs

Three 10-week-old Chihuahuas born without front legs are currently receiving care through the MSPCA at Nevins Farm's Foster Care Program. The MSPCA at Nevins Farm is one of four open admission adoption centers operated by the animal welfare organization, never turning away an animal in need.

"Kensi, Hetty, and G continue to show us that animals can overcome many of life's difficulties if they are provided a chance," Keiley added. "At the MSPCA we consistently provide thousands of chances each year that other organizations may not be equipped to handle including caring for animals suffering from severe trauma, in need of behavior rehabilitation, and life threatening illnesses. We urge residents to support the work of the few open admission adoption centers and shelters throughout Massachusetts."

NCIS: Los Angeles partners with Instagram

In a first-of-its-kind partnership with a major TV show, the popular photo-sharing app Instagram is teaming with NCIS: Los Angeles on a venture that will have the cast sharing on-set snapshots with fans (and vice versa).

The “Flaunt Your City” campaign starts Thursday and encourages fans to send in pics of their hometown for the chance for one of them to appear on the show’s May 17th season finale. Meanwhile cast members will be taking their own on-set pics and sharing them too (see samples below).
