Having another episode dig deep into Callen's undercover background is great because that's probably the most intriguing aspect of this show. It's also probably the best role that Chris O'Donnell has ever had, and that's now something I think anyone expected. Seeing him slip so easily back into his old cover and deal with a former friend of his, even if he was undercover when they new each other, get shot and killed right in front of him was quite powerful.

At first you might think it’s a stretch for actor Chris O’Donnell and rapper LL Cool J to play special-agent buddies on the hit CBS series NCIS: Los Angeles. Even they don’t seem to be sure why they fit together so well.

"I really couldn’t explain it,” LL Cool J says with a big grin. “We had never met before the show. Then we went to the gun range for weapons training, and we just clicked. You have one guy, Chris, who’s from the Midwest and this other guy, me, who’s from the inner city of New York. But we share a common sensibility. I think that me plus him equals a little more than two, you know?”

The ICG Publicists will honor TV producer Shane Brennan with its small-screen showmanship award.

Executive producer of CBS' "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles," Brennan will be feted at the publicist society's 2010 awards luncheon March 5 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City.

"Shane has been described as a whirl of energy, producing, writing and editing episodes of two of television biggest hits," awards committee chairman Henri Bollinger said. "He also has a keen sense of what will attract an audience. Something we call showmanship."

NCIS: LOS ANGELES is the number one new program of the season with an average audience of 16.8 million viewers. The show is averaging a 5.3/12 in adults 25-54 and 3.8/10 in adults 18-49. Shane Brennan and R. Scott Gemmill are executive producers of NCIS: LOS ANGELES for CBS Television Studios.

THE GOOD WIFE regularly wins its Tuesday (10:00-11:00 PM) time period in viewers (13.7m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11), adults 18-49 (3.0/8) and key women demographics. Compared to the time period a year ago, THE GOOD WIFE is up +3% in viewers, +5% in adults 25-54 and 8% in adults 18-49.
